Bissell School is a public rural school offering a unique education to children from kindergarten through grade eight. It is nestled in state forest land, only a few miles from several lakes. Bissell School is part of Olney-Bissell School District #58, which originally included a K-8 school in Olney, Montana.​

Bissell students include children from Whitefish, Kalispell, as well as other areas in the Flathead Valley, and feed into both Whitefish and Glacier High Schools. Students attending Bissell School participate in a variety of outdoor education, taking advantage of the school nature trail, the outdoor classroom, and the many natural opportunities available in the Flathead Valley.
