Lona Everett, Principal and Band Teacher

Lona has taught for 25 years in many schools across the world and U.S., including Iceland, England, Kalamazoo, MI., Portland, OR., and Montana.  In 1998 Lona began teaching at Olney-Bissell and became principal in 2002.

Amy Peterson, Librarian

Amy has been working at the school for the last thirteen years in different positions.  Currently as the librarian and teaches Spanish and study skills.  Outside of school she enjoys hiking, x-country skiing, gardening, and trips with her three kids and husband.

Karen Barr, Special Education

Karen is a graduate of the University of Kentucky.  She has been teaching special education for 11 years, and loves the variety of students she gets to work with.  Karen  enjoys horse back riding, hiking, traveling and shopping.  She is very happy to be back in the Flathead Valley!

Peggy Sebrowsky, Kindergarten

Peggy enjoys traveling the world and brings her experience to the classroom.  Her love of children is expressed in her teaching—full of hugs and loves.  She returned to school when her two children left home, and is now a proud grandmother.  She enjoys music, and is the organist at the local Lutheran church and gardening.

Jean Driggers, First and Second Grade

Mrs. Driggers has been teaching first and second grade at Bissell for 18 years.  Being kind and respectful is an important skill that she teachers.  In her free time she likes to read, camp, and bicycle.

Frank O’Brien, Second Grade and Music

Mr. O’Brien is a graduate of the University of Great Falls with a degree in Elementary Ed  and a reading endorsement.  He also has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the State University College in New York.  His passions are music, art, teaching and family.  He’s a fun, loving New Yorker turned Country Bumpkin!

Donna Emerson, Third and Fourth Grade, Fifth and Sixth Science

This is Donna’s fourteenth year of teaching at Olney-Bissell.  She enjoys working with this age group and likes to take them to experience educational opportunities in the outdoors.  In her free time Donna enjoys traveling, kayaking and skiing.

This is Sean’s third year at Olney-Bissell and fourth year teaching.  Sean is an avid hunter, fly-fisherman, and outdoorsman.  He enjoys spending time with his wife, family, and friends.

Kathy is the Mathematics Specialist for Bissell.  She has been teaching for 20 years, spending the last 17 years here at Bissell.  She spends most of her time attending and teaching workshops across the state, but also enjoys hiking and biking.

Ellen is the physical education teacher, Art teacher and Title I reading teacher for k-8 grades.  She has moved here from Buffalo New York, and is enjoying the amazing  experiences that Montana has to offer.

Tracy has been a paraprofessional for thirteen years.  She has two daughters, one is 21 and the other is 15.  Tracy is an avid fisherman, and she also likes camping and being outdoors.

Kim is a native Montanan, third generation.  This is Kim’s ninth year as paraprofessional.  All of her four girls have gone to Bissell School.  Kim enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, gardening,  and garage sales.

This is Melody’s first year at Bissell.  Melody is also a Native Montanan.  She has three children and two grandchildren.  In her spare time she likes garage sales, horses, and doing things with her granddaughters.

Debbie has worked on and off at Bissell for the last seven years.  This year she is doing her student teaching in kindergarten and special education.  Debbie enjoys arts and crafts, and fishing.

JeAnna has been doing bookkeeping since high school and joined the staff at Bissell nine years ago when her son was in fifth grade there. She first worked as an aide and became business manager two years later.  She enjoys teaching dance exercise classes at the Summit, and spending time with her grandchildren.
